This year has been the first year where I’m starting to feel like my world is getting back to normal post-pandemic. I’m regularly riding the CTA and Metra to get around the city, and going out to eat without thinking whether or not I should be masked up. Being able effortlessly spend time with friends in person has done wonders for my mental health. I’m hopeful that we’re past the the worst of the fallout from COVID, and that it’s one less thing to deal with.
